There is a massive breach of etiquette when a mother impatiently yanks open the fitting room curtain or door to check on progress, completely exposing her child—or a stranger in a nearby stall—to the main floor of the retail store.

Racks and racks of them. Every color, every style.

We were excited.

After browsing for a bit, we each picked out a few pieces to try on. The only problem? The store was tiny… and there was just one dressing room.

My mom looked at me and shrugged.
“Let’s just share it.”

No big deal. We’ve done that before.

So we both went in, pulled the curtain closed behind us, and started trying things on. Pretty quickly, we realized something was off—the sizing ran really small. Like, noticeably small.
