As my new husband thought I was asleep, I watched him sneak out of our honeymoon suite and slip into my bridesmaid’s room down the hall. Smiling coldly, I sent both families a mass text: ‘Special surprise gift inside, come livestream the door opening!’

“Special surprise gift inside room 412, come livestream the door opening right now!”

Within seconds, doors began opening along the hallway. Believing they’d been invited to a sweet midnight wedding surprise or romantic gift presentation, relatives hurried out wearing pajamas and robes.

They gathered excitedly in the corridor, raising their phones to livestream the occasion.

My heart raced with anticipation as I unlocked our suite, stepped into the hallway, and watched my mother-in-law eagerly turn the handle of room 412.

She pushed the door open with a cheerful greeting, only to freeze as piercing screams erupted from the crowd in complete disbelief.

## Part 2

The hallway descended into chaos.

Camera flashes illuminated the corridor while glowing phone screens captured everything for livestreams. Horrified gasps echoed against the luxurious wallpaper.

Inside room 412, the scene was devastating.

Ethan and Jessica lay tangled beneath white hotel sheets, surrounded by scattered red rose petals, exposed and frozen with terror.

Ethan scrambled upright, clutching the blanket against his chest. His face turned an alarming shade of purple as he struggled to speak.

“Mom! Dad! Wait, stop recording, this is a complete misunderstanding!” he shrieked, his voice cracking hysterically. “I… I must have taken the wrong elevator and walked into the wrong room by accident! It’s an honest mistake!”

Jessica hid behind him, pulling the sheets to her chin while sobbing dramatically and shielding her face from the flashing cameras.

My father-in-law clutched his chest, looking close to a medical emergency. My mother-in-law dropped her phone, covering her mouth as tears of humiliation filled her eyes.

My father stepped forward, fists clenched so tightly his knuckles whitened, glaring at the man who’d married his daughter only hours earlier.
